Why We’re Planting Mangroves in Marereni, Kenya
Mangroves are one of nature’s most powerful climate solutions, absorbing up to 5x more carbon than tropical rainforests. They also protect coastlines, support biodiversity, and sustain local communities.
That’s why we’re proud to support a community-led mangrove restoration project in Marereni, Kenya, in partnership with SeaTrees and the local conservation group KOMAZA. Local villagers are trained and employed to plant and care for the trees, creating sustainable livelihood while restoring coastal ecosystems.
