Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced wholesale account manager to grow our existing accounts, as well as help develop our strategy to open the right new doors – and then actually do it. We’re a small team, it’s all hands on deck. Reporting to the CEO, you will get the opportunity to do everything from high-level strategy, promo planning and direct account relationship building, right down to cold calling new accounts and managing trade shows. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about the brand, the customer, and joining a fast-paced entrepreneurial team.
Key Responsibilities:
There’s a lot to do, so we’re looking for someone ready to dive right in.
- Lead wholesale account relationships namely with The Detox Market, Grove Collaborative, Whole Foods Market and Well.ca with strong communications and activity planning to exceed targets.
- Develop and expand our PRO Partners Program including Salons, Dermatologists and Med Spas through affiliate portal, sampling, literature and channel influencers, as well as opening new accounts, freelance field reps and/or distributors to further build credibility and social trust that our new form factor really works.
- Lead and optimize our Hubspot CRM system as well as partnerships@ inbox to proactively recruit target retailers, boutiques and pros, while also nurturing existing relationships.
- Help optimize our wholesale Shopify store portal to improve the customer journey from onboarding, to order placement, to sell-through tools and newsletter communications.
- Manage Trade Marketing programs and budget across retailers to maximize ROI and ensure the Everist brand voice and imagery is consistently rolled out across all partner PDPs and external touchpoints.
- Oversee purchase orders and shipments to retailers by working closely with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and proactive communication.
- Manage trade shows and select consumer-facing shows to grow brand awareness and drive sales with the right customer audience.
- Support Amazon growth through specialized agency partner and internal marketing team to increase new customer discovery, as well as retain more returning customers on subscription.
- Provide channel insights and analysis against KPIs to understand promotional effectiveness and marketing results to recommend future activities with both revenue and profitability in mind. Share retail trends and spot opportunities to fuel future growth.
- Proactively manage special projects with key stakeholders. As a fast-growing, entrepreneurial start-up, these responsibilities are likely to shift and evolve based on the needs of the business. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are the keys to success in this role.
Experience & Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in sales account management, preferably working in the beauty, health or wellness industry with direct experience on one of our current wholesale accounts and/or pro channel.
- You have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Business or related field.
- You have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve independently.
- You are a great communicator, team collaborator and love building lasting relationships.
- You have proven ability to manage projects from concept to execution – hands on.
- You have a voice and are comfortable using it. We want to hear all of your ideas.
- Bonus if you have experience with ecommerce tools like Shopify, Hubspot, Klayvio or similar platforms.
- Exposure to the PRO channel and distributors or experience with discovery beauty retailers such as Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom and Credo is an asset.
- Our team is based in Toronto - we have a remote-first culture, currently with one day a week in the office, however, this role could be fully-remote for the right candidate but must be based in Canada or the USA.
